Define the garment specification
Identify the style, intended use, construction, fabric composition, fabric weight, trims and colour references. Attach a dated tech pack so suppliers quote the same version.
Clarify the development scope
State whether you are requesting production from your own design, changes to an existing supplier design or private-label packaging. Ask who owns the design files and which development or tooling charges apply.
Break down quantities by variant
Provide quantities by style, colour and size. Ask suppliers to state minimums at each level, rather than assuming that a total order quantity meets every production minimum.
Set sample acceptance criteria
Specify measurements, tolerances, fit checks, stitching, material finish and packaging. Request sample cost and timing separately from bulk production. Keep a record of the version approved for production.
Request documentation for review
List the fabric, testing and labelling documents your qualified reviewer needs. Ask for evidence supporting any certification claim. MapleBridge does not verify fabrics, factories or market compliance.
Compare commercial terms
Request currency, unit price, variant minimums, sample charges, production lead time, delivery terms and quote validity. Separate one-off setup costs from repeat-order pricing.
Invite suppliers you already know
Create your RFQ and send private invitations to selected contacts. Compare their submitted quotes and resolve exceptions directly. MapleBridge does not find apparel factories or guarantee price, MOQ or delivery timing.

Does MapleBridge find or verify suppliers?
No. Buyers bring their own supplier contacts and independently assess their suitability. MapleBridge provides RFQs, private invitations and comparison of submitted quotes.
Can I request a size and colour breakdown?
Yes. Include quantities for each size and colour and ask the supplier to state the relevant minimums.
Does creating an RFQ place an order?
No. An RFQ requests quotations. Confirm samples, documents and final contractual terms directly before placing an order.
